"When you start supporting a football club, you don’t support it because of the trophies, or a player, or history, you support it because you find yourself.. Somewhere there.. A place where you belong."

"if you’re 18 why do you still ask your parents for permission"

I seriously thought it was normal to ask permission to do things from the people that own the house you live in and provide for you, even if you’ve reached the magical age of 18. I’m going to continue being polite and nice to my parents until they are no longer around. I seriously thought that this was normal.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible scoring record at Real Madrid and Manchester United
With Cristiano Ronaldo’s career tally now standing at 394 club goals in 581 games, Telegraph Sport breaks down how he has done it - and how many he can score if he carries on at the same rate.

The Portuguese international is in the form of his life this season, having scored 19 goals in 12 games, and he broke another La Liga record at the weekend when, in scoring twice against Levante, he made it 15 goals in seven league games.

That took his overall career tally to 394 in all club competitions, scored at 0.68 goals per game - all the more astonishing given that he spent most of his early career at Sporting Lisbon and Manchester United on the wing.
Excellent work from Telegraph-Sport
